Recognizing that the resurgence of religion is everywhere present in the world and that the search for spiritual understanding is everywhere apparent in contemporary life, the goals of St. Vladimir Institute are:
- to provide a program to explore religious issues;
- to enrich spiritual life of students (residents or non-residents);
- to encourage each resident to attend workshop services of his/her choice;
- to have the services of a chaplain available to resident students on request;
- to hold Orthodox services in the newly-renovated Chapel;
St. Vladimir Institute was founded by a group of Ukrainian - Canadians embracing the Orthodox faith. As an Orthodox, faith-based institution, St. Vladimir's Institute is called upon to be a place that nurtures every aspect of one's spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual and physical life since, in the eyes of the Orthodox, they are all holy.
St. Vladimir Institute's historical relationship to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada has positioned it to maintain a chapel and a chaplain and provide an intellectually responsible forum for discussion of religion and matters of spirit.
