St. Vladimir's Library welcomes donations of books, journals and other materials which meet the Library's collection criteria. Items of historical importance are especially welcome as archival material is an important part of our collection.
Donors are asked to submit a list of proposed donations so that the Library can choose those items which are consistent with its selection policy.
All donations become the property of the Library. Items not added to its own collection may be offered to other libraries or sold at book sales. Proceeds from such sales are used to purchase needed materials for the Library.
Tax receipts
may be issued at the discretion of the Library Committee. Should the prospective donor wish for an evaluation by a qualified third party, it must be at his/her expense. Special consideration will be given to books of recent publication, missing issues of journals and rare or archival items.
