St. Vladimir Institute offers the multicultural local community, members and resident students a program consisting of a variety of learning experiences, events and activities presented in many formats and subject areas. St. Vladimir Institute provides a forum for learning about community issues and an opportunity to participate in community service initiatives.
Program Formats
Learning Experiences
- Courses - instructor-led courses by trained teachers
- Lectures / Discussions - material presented by knowledgeable presentors/lecturers
- Workshops - hands-on approaches to acquiring certain skills
Events
- Exhibits - art exhibits sponsored by the Institute or by artists themselves
- Tours - of the Institute facilities and programs or arranged tours of outside facilities of interest to members
- Concerts - sponsored by or supported by the Institute
- Social - events arranged by the Institute such as Malanka and Casino Night
Actitivities
- Student Exchange - annual program of student exchange between the other three Institutes in Canada
- Outreach - the Institute provides support to outside organizations and/or individuals
- Volunteer Appreciation - the Institute recognizes the value of volunteer participation
- Promotion - Newsletter, Bloor-West Village Festival Booth
