Our Mission: Amplifying Ukrainian Heritage
At SVI, we take immense pride in spotlighting the vibrant tapestry of Ukrainian heritage and culture. Since the onset of the full-scale war in Ukraine, our mission has been to amplify the voices of Ukrainian artists, academics, and institutions—both in Ukraine and among those who reside in Canada. Now, more than ever, it's essential to celebrate and share our rich history.
Your Contributions in Action
Thanks to the generosity of community members like you, SVI has collaborated with numerous artists, academics, and Ukrainian institutions from Canada and Ukraine. Since 2020, we've been steadfast in providing FREE online and in-person programming, bringing the beauty and significance of Ukrainian culture to the forefront.
We've also supported students in their fundraising initiatives for Ukraine at SVI, which includes Ukrainian Week, the Unissued Diplomas reception, lectures, and art exhibits, as well as creating a dedicated meeting space for students. Since last year's Giving Tuesday, our art committee has been reactivated, working on exciting new exhibits, including the Vytynanky (papercut) installation by Daria Alyoshkina (on now at SVI).
